Ole Lütjens, Executive Producer and Creative Director

Ole Lütjens is the Creative Director and Co-Owner of MX, a San Francsico based digital entertainment company with a strong technology focus. Ole has been involved in innovative interactive technology and design for over 15 years. He was a founding member of the Ponton European Media Art lab in Germany in 1989, a group that made its mark internationally with experiments in early network communication and interactive TV. In 1996 he joined the Network Syndicate, the San Francisco based cooperative behind the Beta Lounge, one of the first and, as of today, longest running independent online music and event sites. Since 2001 he lives and works in San Francisco. As a senior partner he currently leads MX's R&D and creative development with a strong focus on next-generation and network connected disc user experience. Prior to helping launch MX, Ole provided interface design and creative services for clients including German Telekom, Der Spiegel, Lucasfilm, Disney and SmashTV. Under his creative direction MX Blu-ray titles and DVD's have won multiple Special Feature and DVD Excellence Awards.

Joe Rice, Technical Director

Drawing upon a 15 year background in audio and video production and post-production, Joe provides technical direction for MX's product development and ongoing R&D, including supervision of compression and authoring for DVD, Blu-ray, and HD DVD. Prior to joining MX at its inception, Joe served as Technical Director for digitiz-it!, an audio and video compression firm. Previously, Joe was Director of Research and Development at ednet, an audio and video networking company whose clients include high-end film, video, audio and post-production facilities.
